A coeducational national honor fraternity
The Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity was founded on February 14, 1916 and now has 120 active collegiate chapters with 5,380 undergraduate members and 39,008 alumni members. Phi Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity unlike any other. Instead of being specifically geared towards an educational field such as medicine, engineering, law, psychology, or dentistry, we are built upon a set of ideals which we call our "Tripod:" LEADERSHIP, FELLOWSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP.
In the Tripod, no ideal is more important or weighted more heavily than another: they are of equal importance.
Leadership: "the application of professional skills and the fostering of leadership qualities by promoting and advancing the welfare of humanity."
For our Chapter, we show commitment to this ideal through hosting service functions or leadership training to promote the charity and leadership skills that are stressed by this leg of the tripod.
Scholarship: "the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge- through scholarship."
For our Chapter, we show commitment to this ideal through hosting scholarship functions to promote learning that is stressed by this leg of the tripod.
Fellowship: "the fostering of non-discriminatory, fraternal fellowship within Phi Sigma Pi's ranks."
For our Chapter, we show commitment to this ideal through hosting social functions to promote Brotherhood that is stressed by this leg of the tripod.

PHI SIGMA PI UCLA Chapter: Zeta Lambda
The UCLA Chapter was founded in the Fall 2011 and has had a membership of 55 Brothers in the three quarters since its foundation at the university. Zeta Lambda welcomes everyone and encourages professionalism, learning, leadership, camaraderie, and rapport. Members organize events that cater to the three legs of the Tripod (leadership, scholarship, and fellowship) that promote stronger relationships among the Brothers--learning from the experiences from each other through social and scholarship events as well as helping not only one another but others in the community through community services.
The Brothers at Zeta Lambda are diverse in academic and social interests, but are connected by the bond of Brotherhood that the Fraternity provides. In this Chapter, Brothers express themselves freely and always extend support whenever one faces problems. The foundation of this close connection is the creation of a space where Brothers can grow into better students, friends, and families, and community members. At UCLA, academic excellence is innate to the students and the fact that the students seem to tackle any endeavor individually and without support is apparent. Therefore, the Chapter promotes academic excellence but it also reminds the members that they have Brothers that can support them in all academic, personal, and extra-curricular endeavors. The Chapter aims to teach Brothers responsibility and accountability not only for the Phi Sigma Pi family but for the whole community as well.
